In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and the Gerontological Society of America (GSA). Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)

The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 24.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Note to Nurse Practitioners: Nurse practitioners can apply for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). AANP will accept AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM from Jointly Accredited Organizations. Nurse practitioners can also apply for credit through their state boards.

Continuing Nursing Ecucation (ANCC)

The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 24.0 contact hours.

Continuing Social Work Education (ACE)

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 24.0 clinical continuing education credits.

Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE Credit™)

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 24.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.

  • Click on "My Dashboard" in the top right corner.
  • Under “My Upcoming Events”, select "GSA 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting" and click "View Registration".
  • Select additional items to add to your registration (e.g., workshops, continuing education, or social events like pickleball), and follow the prompts to proceed to checkout.
  • Finalize your registration by selecting the "Update Registration" button.

Claiming Continuing Education Credits

Participating attendees must be registered, attend the entire scientific session in person, and complete the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine's request for credit online evaluation form to receive continuing education credit. GSA will email participating attendees directions on completing the online evaluation on the last day of the meeting after the last session ends on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Continuing education evaluations will be accepted up to 90 days after the program takes place. A record of attendance will be kept on file by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine.
