About GSA 2023
Gerontology is a broad and diverse field, spanning disciplines and professional boundaries, from research, clinical practice and education to policy and industry. There is only one event that brings all of these disciplines and professions together to focus on the latest breakthroughs in aging: the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting.
Whether your primary interest is biological sciences or social work, housing or health disparities, and so much more, there’s always something new and exciting to learn at GSA about issues that affect older people and how they live their lives. And with nearly 4,000 professionals and students attending, you’re bound to meet someone you know — or wish you did. It’s a great place to learn from the leading experts in the field of aging, and to build your professional network and career through formal and informal interactions. With all there is to see and do and learn each year, it’s no wonder so many professionals in the field of aging return year after year. They find that attending GSA better equips them for the challenges ahead and energizes them to take them on.
"I look forward to attending the GSA meeting every year. It is great to network with colleagues old and new and learn about the latest research. I especially enjoy connecting with my Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) colleagues to share ideas about best teaching practices, intergenerational programs, and age-friendly initiatives. I always return to my campus with renewed energy and ready to implement something new!"
